iLiKETRAiNS are quite an odd band. First of all, they have a quite unique post-rock sound. Slow and steady post-rock with a predominiately indie sound attached, with some absolutely stunning vocals. This singer has an awesome deep baritone voice that makes all these songs even more depressing than they'd be without him.
iLiKETRAiNS' lyrics are about war, death and tragedy. And it certainly shows, I mean, just look at the titles! The songs are as depressing as you'd think. Slow droning drums coupled with some pretty fast tremolo riffing make this an entertaining listen, though at times, one would like to see how it would sound if they played their songs further out.
Elegies To Lessons Learnt is a great album, if you're into this sort of thing. If you like pretty flowers and rainbows, this is the wrong album to listen to. It's bleak, and at times, downright depressing.
